Retro interior design
11:20 AMPart of this decade is about the groovy designs and music that came out of London, England. Retro design was easily incorporating the cool style from Britannia, such as pop music, the free love and flower power culture.
If you desire to get the same look for your house here is some few steps you need to look over:
The color: the color palette has to be formed from a diverse mixed vibrant colours
taken from the plastic space age look pf the 60's, like white, pink, blue , orange, purple, silver, etc. You can introduce colors that lie on opposite sides of the spectrum and get away with it.
There was also another color scheme that was very popular which was the monotone. Either the same colour, or black and white.
The walls where covered in wallpaper, in which you could find motifs inspired from Nouveau and Deco, exploded in a giant scale psychedelia. But also flat painted walls will really help you to recreate the retro inspired look.
Framed posters, giant logos, and symbols painted hanged on your wall could help you to achieve the same look.
The decor was mostly formed by hanging ball chairs, it was all about the plastic, beanbags , big foot stools, scattered cushions.
For the floors , the best way to recreate the style is to achieve a big huge carpet or rug, as they said the longer the pile, the groovier the best for your to walk comfy with your barefoot on.
For the lighting the lava lamp was the symbolic gesture, and than the neon lights, would be filling your space with colour.
